<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>I need to move my Allen 201b console (which is <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on">MIDI</st1:place>’d and runs Hauptwerk) from my living room to my basement.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Unfortunately, the basement door is 30 inches wide and the console is 32 inches deep.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>I’m aware of the technique of standing a console on end and “rotating” it through a door opening, but my narrow staircase and hall do not have the clearance to do this.</FONT></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>Can one of the Allen gurus on this board advise if it is possible to disassemble just the front portions of this console, to reduce its depth, leaving the rear portion andthe electronics intact?<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN><SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"></SPAN>It looks like the front “cheeks”, the table on which the keyboards sit, and the curved front brackets supporting the table on either side, are screwed into the back part of the console – but I don’t know if Allen uses glue to fasten these parts as well.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>If these front parts can be removed without disturbing the rear section I could easily get the console through the basement door with the keyboards and stop rail flipped up.</FONT></P>
