As the Organist at my local Baptist church I've been leading the congregational singing for the past few years using this electronic Wurlitzer Orbit --

Unfortunately, the power supply unit has begun to fail and when played the organ emits a strong burning smell. The technician we have called on to regularly look after the organ, this time commented that it was no longer financially viable to repair and we are now looking to dispose of this organ as we have now replaced it with a 4 year old Johannus Opus 5 digital organ.

The technicians recommendation about disposal is to dump it in the electrical section of the civic amenities refuse site -- however, I was hoping that there might be some person who has aknowledge of electronics and a keen organist who would be able to repair it themselves. We would only be looking for a donation to the church. It seems a shame to dispose of it in such a way given that the case work, keys and voioce selections are all in such good condition for being made in theearly 70's

I appreciate that this forum is primarily US based, but was wondering anyone had a contact in the UK that would be interested? Or if anyone had any advice relating to this instrument.

Looking forward to hearing any and everyones thoughts.
