I just stumbled across this company that make sampled digital organs. I've never heard of them, have any of you? They claim to have instruments installed around the world and they also do lots of other stuff including organ shoes and lots of different console lamps.

Notice that they have an "Imperial Series" that bears an uncanny resemblance to Allen's Elite range...</p>
I find their website rather lacking in precise details. They don't give any specific info about past installations, the page on audio systems is blank, the organ shoe page doesn't show any pictures, prices or sizes offered and the site is littered with grammatical and spelling errors.

This DMP outfit, is the kind of business I would not do business with. One of their guys once phoned me up, and it was a most unsatisfying conversation. He told me they were world beaters, had been for a long time, the staff had Doctorates in organ performance, they had a number of factories, etc. But it all seemed to vague to me. He told me too, that their organs didn't need on-site voicing as they were pre-voiced and already perfectly balanced. Ya right! says I.

DMP seems to have a relationship with Aria in Korea. Aria does make some of their own organs, using obsolete Viscount technologies. From the Aria web-site it looks like they may now sell complete Viscount organs as well.</p>
DMP "Imperial" organ looks like vapourware. No information at all other than a fuzzy picture they poached from the Veritas organs site. In fact there is something horribly wrong with the picture - I can't even play an organ like this, maybe you can figure out why.</p>
Anyways, to me they are just a bunch of amateur marketers. </p>

Might the Imperial organ be unplayable because the image has been reversed such that the crescendo pedal is on the left and consquently everything else. [:P] That would require considerable skill, the lower octaves being on the right and the higher on the left! I wonder are they in partnership with Veritas or obtained permission from them? If not then the use of their photograph could be considered a violation of copyright laws.

I would have to agree with you Arie, the site IMO is a whole lot of "hot air" - scant details, packed full of hype and organ marketing buzz words "Haskey" is also correct, the excessive use of flash animations for the introduction is tedious to watch, unnecessary and looks like an amateur has thrown it together.</p>
This is an example of how not to market your organ company! </p>

Thanks to all who have expressing serious reservations about DMP. I have been watching this instrument on Ebay for months and wondering just what it was, by whom was it manufactured, and how reliable is their digital pipe sampling technology, and (not a small concern) who would service these organs when required. Comments expressed here make me sufficiently wary of any serious consideration of DMP. Thanks to all who so freely offer their expertise to us novices.

They reveal far more about who they are from what they don't say, than what they do say! For instance, their singularproclaimed installation is at St. Paul's Cathederal. Amongst the hundreds orperhaps thousands of St. Paul's Cathedrals across the globe, they are pretty safe in that statement, since they refrain from mentioning any specific St. Paul's Cathedral. Basically, this proclamation is a lie and a scam. And if that's not the case,then let's hear from them. <Yeah right!></P>
For the most part, from what I've been able to determine on the web, DMP is merely a small Texas/Calfornia piano dealer. They manufacture nothing! They work from a tinyoffice, possessing NO assets. As for the manufacturing thing, they refer toelusive entities as "Manufacturing Associates!" </P>

I had a conversation with a "representative" quite some time ago. I concur, it was a very unsatisfying conversation. The answers to my questions about tone, voicing capabilities, etc was so vague and twisted that I honestly hard a hard time understanding the guy. Not a place I'd do business with, or at the least, find someone with more tech know-how than myself to figure out how it is configured. There has to be a way to tweak voicing, right?
