  • Combo Organs Yahoo Group

Does anyone know what ever happened to the Yahoo Combo Organs group? I found a "ComboOrgan Annex" group, but can't find the other one.

I subscribed in 2016, and my last email came in at the end of 2017.

I despise Yahoo, but it was better than nothing. At least this forum is around, and it's nice to see the occasional Farfisa thread crop up.

I used to be a member too. they were linked to Combo Organ Heaven website. Visiting that site now and checking the discussion group tab, it appears it is hosted differently; http://www.combo-organ.com/group.htm

I like Farfisa threads too :-)

The Yahoo group moved here: https://groups.io/g/combo-organ The capabilities of the new site are a big improvement. All the old archives were preserved, too.

Every Yahoo group I was a member of has 'died' in the same way. They started working erratically and going down occasionally. All the music ones I was a member of are now in the 'io' family like the combo organs. Admins have usually preserved the archived posts and the new groups work better than the Yahoo system did.

There's also a Facebook group for combo organs and one for vintage organs (pre 1994) that includes combo organs.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

yes, Yahoo really missed a huge opportunity with those groups: first they screwed up Geocities, then the Yahoo groups.

And then Facebook came along, and blew them out of the water.

lucky if anyone archived any of that stuff!!
