  • Style discs/downloads for Yamaha PSR 8000/Roland Atelier AT-30

Hi... (newbie here... be kind? :) ) I have a Yamaha PSR 8000... does anyone know where I can (still) get hold of supplementary style discs or downloads for this keyboard please? I have tried Yamaha... and there is little to nothing... even made contact and they were very nice... gently told me ... too old... Bit like me really I suppose :) I like the tracks that have the likes of Nikita that are a little more distinctive and difficult to manually replicate...(I neve have read music...)

Also, I have recently acquired a Roland Atelier AT - 30... beautiful unmarked condition and plays astoundingly. so the same question as for teh Yamaha above... looking for style discs. I have the manual for the Roland but didn't get any accessories... discs etc other than the power cord.

Any help is going to be gratefully received

    Many thanks

Try www.psrtutorial.com for styles for the Yamaha, but it may be too old even for them. If you find the styles, you'll have to transfer them to floppy - a USB floppy drive should only cost a few $.

Difficult to get styles for an old Atelier too. You could have a search on line for Roland Gigastyles and see if that large collection has surfaced again somewhere. Some of them may work.
As for getting 'song specific' styles as you hint at with your comment about Nikita, you may be lucky for the Yamaha but I don't think any were done for the early Roland models.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
