• Mylar Caps a little bright?

Check out the audio on this 1968 C3. Is that the mylar caps I hear shrieking? This organ is for sale just down the road from me...I think I would still love to have it but I can't afford it right now. [:'(]

Also, the dude needs to learn some Purple or something[;)]

Oh well, his organ is nicer than mine so what can I say except "I want it!"?

Possibly, but my Hammond CV has the old wax caps and when I pull out all the drawbars, it really screams. I actually push the last couple of drawbars in a little bit to mellow it down some.

The Mylar caps aren't any brighter than the wax caps when they were new. The Mylar caps just hold their value much longer. Wax caps are susceptible to moisture and go out of tolerance.

Having a bright organ isn't all bad. There is a tone control on the preamp to tone the highs down to your liking. You can also push in the higher drawbars. You cannot add highs that are not there to start with.
