This is quite noticable thru headphones. Not so much through the (L model) organ speakers.

When the highest C octave is played SLOWLYyou hear this faint undertone. Can only describe it as sine-wavish, sci-fi spacey.

For those that are familiar with Bo Hansson's"Lord of the Rings" lp, the second track "The Old Forest" has some of this sound. Wallace used to think it a clever spooky sound effect (to mimick wolves howling in the far distance), but perhaps this is inherent in the Hammond??

Sounds like it is crosstalk.... if so... allot of the modern clonewheel organ actually try to mimick that sound. It is caused by the electro-magnetc interplay between the Tonegenerator wires....
Actually, I was really bugged by this too, until I realised it wasn't something wrong. The C3 through the PR40 doesn't sound like that, whilemy T500 through full range frankenleslie has it very noticeable. It clashes a bit when you play a chord in the top octave too, have you noticed that?
