hi guys, Can any of you kind people tell me the wattage and what type of resistor i should use to replace the 470k and the 1meg resistors on the 6aua tubes of my m102a amp please?I forgot to ask geo these values when i placed my last post about the trouble with the chorus/vibrato. thanks, john

1/2 watt. Carbon resistors are fine. If you want to choose a higher quality that's OK.

geo,are there 3 resistors in total to change 1 470k and 2 1meg and can i use a 5% tol instead of 10%, cos most of resistors i can find in the uk are 5%. thanks

              Re: resistors

Okay, appollyloggies for being so thick, but Im gonna try this chorous (on M100) fix also.

              To make sure:

R-9 resistor off pin 5 is 470 K ohm (whats highest resistance I can go here?)

              R-10 pin 6 of V1 is 1 M ohm (any chance to put a 1.8 mega ohm- brown,grey,green,silver = colour code - here instead?)

I havent been to the amp yet, so if anyone can post picture of exact resistor positions, that be super!

                Re: resistors

If you can find the m100 service manual it should have a parts layout diagram for your particular amp, as well as a parts list which corresponds to the part names (the layout only mentions component names, ie R104, C105 etc, where as the parts list tells you the component values).

What is the purpose of the mod you are attempting? (adding higher resistance values?)

                  Nuffink mind-bending.

Just laziness - the store to get resistors from is a whiles away and its all uphill (on bike). I happen to have a 1.8M resistor.
