• A100 chorus/vibrato not working

I keep reading about flashing to fix the vibrato but, does it also help the chorus or is that another can of worms?

    ROD,
If flashing helps the vibrato, it will also effect vibrato chorus. Very basically, chorus 1, 2, or3 settings = Vibrato 1,2,or 3, sounded simultaneously with straight tone (no vibrato) so it is directly related to the scanner flashing. Roy

Thanks, Any idea where I might find detailed instructions on flashing? Both with batteries and the high voltage method so I can decide if

I'm brave enough to do the high voltage one or not?

        ROD,
I have done only the 9-volt battery method, and it has worked for both organs. I snap four 9-volts together which leaves two terminals exposed. Using a set of wires with alligator clips, connect the battery (-) to a screw on the preamp or tonewheel chassis. Fasten the other wire to the battery (+) and touch the other end of the wire to each of the screws on the flat side of the scanner. Leave it spark for 3 seconds on each wire. You might smell burning metal - that's the dreaded dentrites. Don't worry about the screws you can't reach. On my B3 I had to repeat the process several times, but finally it is stable. The A-102 took only one zap.

If this doesn't work for you and you want to try the high voltage method -- someone else on the forum will need to instruct you. It should do the trick, though.

ROD, By the way, it won't hurt to try the battery system first. It is much safer, and it works.. Roy
