At last, my own Hammond. I have spent weeks looking for the right organ, receiving offers from Wyoming to Colorado Springs for Kimball, Gulbransen, and Lowrey organs and then the email came with an offer for a free Hammond Concorde, Model 2307M. I have been assured that the organ is in great playing condition and in good cosmetic condition. My excitement is nearly off the chart! I will post some photos when it is safely in my apartment and polished to a shine. The organ is only 65 miles away! </p>
We plan on moving the organ ourselves in a rented, enclosed trailer. I will appreciate any suggestions that anyone has for making sure that I transport this organ as carefully as possible. Are there any packing tips that you will share? I want to see that all precautions are taken to assure a safe arrival. I have written more than once asking for opinions on various offers and I thank you all so much for your help. What a great forum with SO MANY KNOWLEDGEABLE MEMBERS! Thanks, Jerry.
