Hi everyone, i need a couple questions answered if someone could help me out. I bought a rebuild kit for my 147 leslie amp [145] and i noticed that some of the resistors and caps are different than whats indicated on the schematic. For the 2 56k 5% resistors schematic no. R6,R7 they gave me 1 56k 5% and 1 62k 2% resistor, and for the 150 ohm 10W resistor schematic no.R15they gave me a 150 ohm 15W resistor, for the 2 ceramic 100pf caps schematic no. C7,C8 the caps say 101K on them. Are these the wrong parts or will they work. I have no experience when it comes to electronics. I have a friend who knows how to read schematics and solder but never worked on leslie amps, who i am going to have rebuild my amp. I just don't want to screw my amp up. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Trip,
The parts will work.
C7, C8 - 101K = 100 pF
R15 - 15W instead of 10W is good, higher power rating
R6 and R7 are only 11% difference. Probably deliberately different values. If there are no instructions as to which is which, e-mail them and ask for clarification. It'll work either way round but give less distortion the right way. The intention is probably to balance the 2 halves of V1. I wouldexpect R6 = 62K and R7 = 56K. Can't really see the point unless R8 and R9 are spot on or replaced.
If your friend can read schematics and solder then he can do it. There are people on here that have done this job and can guide you if you have problems. </P>
