I've noticed that when I have my Leslie on and the expression pedal on my M103 wide open, I get a clicking type noise through the Leslie's speaker. At first I thought it may be the speaker distorting. I adjusted the Leslie's volume control, and even if I have it set low, I still get this clicking type noise. If I back off the expression pedal just a little, the noise goes away. But, if I have the vibrato Celeste tabs pressed in, the clicking is there no matter where the pedal is. I don't get this noise through the organ's built in speakers. Could this be a cap issue? The Leslie's amp (and the organ's amp too for that matter) has the original paper caps, which I'm planning on replacing in the near future.

Re: Noise from Leslie 125 speaker
It may not be the same thing, but after taking the motors out of my 130 to clean and oil them, I got sort of a click/rub that seemed to be coming from the drum. After tilting the unit while it was spinning a few times , I got it to go away.

Re: Noise from Leslie 125 speaker
Hold the drum still, have someone play an offending note.

Put your hand on the foam deflector inside the drum to see if it stops. Alternatively see if the balance washers/nut are tight on the drum walls.

Not sure these things being loose would result in "clicking", but make sure the noise isn't mechanical first.

Re: Noise from Leslie 125 speaker
I've ruled out mechanical noise. The deflector was loose when I first got the Leslie, so I glued it back down and that got rid of most of the noise I was getting. Now however, I get this click type noise even if I turn the volume on the amp down so it's barely audible, so I know it has to be in the amp/organ/speaker. As long as the organ's pedal is fully forward, I get the click. If I rock the pedal back some and turn the amp's volume up, the noise stops. I tried cleaning the tube sockets and all the plugs, but that didn't seem to help any.

Mikey,

Try the Hammond Zone on Yahoo Groups. There are a lot of Tech people there, who I'll bet will have some answers for you. They were great with helping me fix a motor speed problem I had on the 130.
