  • Hammond M3 effects loop

    Hi,

I am wondering if it would be possible to install an effetcs loop into my Hammond M3....primarily
    to insert a digital reverb.

I had a look at the installation instructions of the old "organ mate" reverb units. Would it be
promising to install an effects loop at the same location of the circuit? I attached images of
the organ mate instrauctions as well as the M3 service manual. What do you think?

Probably ok if you have reasonable impedance matching.

The problem you may run into attempting to install an effects loop at this point in the circuit has to do with signal amplitude. The signal voltage swings may very well be too high for a digital reverb unit intended for use at guitar pickup or line level signals.
