  • '61 B-3 connected to 60's 122 help

So I’m hooking up a 60’s model 122 to a ’61 B-3. Console out has 5pin out, the other end of the cord going to leslie is 6-pin, so I need an 8000 series connection box. I already have a half moon switch, but I’m not seeing the adaptor for the 6x4 tube along with it. Since I don’t need the half-moon switch, I was hoping to see the 6x4 adaptor for sale some where besides eBay. Doesn’t look like the adaptor is included in wiring, Any ideas? Also seems like 5 pin console out to 6 pin shoiuld work since B+ isn’t needed for Ao-28 pre amp. I know you get these questions a lot but was needing confidence advice from you guys please. Thanks...Tom in Oklahoma

You will need a 8000 connector kit. BBOrgan has the 6x4 adapter.

The old 6X4/6X5 adapters were used for one reason: To make Leslie kit installation quick and easy without having to venture inside the preamp.

The used ones I've had have all had open 33k resistors in them, and you can't really get into them to fix the problem. I've never been able to figure out how to open one up without destroying it.

It looks to me like the BB Organ adapters have a resistor shrink-tubed into the wiring -?

Yes, they would have to in order to function like the originals.

Or you can get a 6122 kit. It uses the B+ from the Leslie. You'll need a 6pin to 6pin cable.

I use a 6122 kit with a half moon switch wired in instead of the silly toggles that came with the 6122.
