I have an L100 where the upper "drawbar" tab was busted off, so I got a new tab assembly to put in. However, this one is real stiff - I wondered what the best thing was for the mechanism that presses the other tabs out when selecting a new one. Tri-flow? WD-40? Is there anything I should NOT use? Graphite?
Should I take it apart, or is that mechanism the kind of thing that should not be disassembled, ever?

    Thanks!

I would just replace the broken tab, not the entire assembly! Take the left side little locking washer off the shaft, then slide the shaft out to the right until it's out of the broken tab. Put in new tab, push shaft back. Feel free to omit the locking washer upon reassembly, it is by no means crucial. 2 minute job, this!

Great, thank you so much! One related question - I wanted to modify an M103 to give myself more vibrato options by taking out the mechanism that pushes the tabs to keep you from selecting chorus and celeste. Is it any more complicated than removing the screws and bolts that you see on the back? They don't hold anything else together, do they?

Getting rid of those linkages should do the trick just fine.

Thanks, Enor! I'll try to report back after doing this... might be a while, plenty of organ projects going currently...
