  • M100 Questions for a very beginner

Hi! I've been a keyboard player for quite some time now and recently decided to pick up a Hammond organ. I saw an M100 in great condition for free and decided to take it.
I've done some research into how to oil it, actually playing it and such, but when it comes to the actual internals (and electronics as a whole) I am practically a caveman.
What would someone like me do to make a line out jack (hopefully cheaply) from the organ? Is a line out jack even worth it? I'm assuming that the powering going into the speakers from the organ is already amplified so I can't send that through any effects pedals.
I know I may be way over my head here, but I don't know anyone else who can solder other than a plumber.

(P.S. I was planning on making a Leslie myself since all those being sold in my area are going for at least a thousand bucks and the only guide to making one involves a 1/4" input jack, hence the original question)

Thanks for the help in advance,
    Gig

    Hi,
welcome to the forum and congrats on your acquisition! I'm pretty sure there's a Hammond wiki page that describes how to wire a line out from a spinet.

Regarding a Leslie, maybe if you add your location in your profile, someone on the forum may help you find one. They are out there, and if you get one you won't regret it, your M100 will sound amazing. If you keep an eye out you will eventually find one for a good price.
