Hammond expression pedal inverted

This Hammond organ was used in tours for years, the original volume pedal isn't around anymore.

In getting a stand-in volume pedal, I discovered that it is inverted—heel is 'volume up,' toe is 'volume down.'

I got a brand new Fender pedal for it, but it's the same thing.

I tried reversing the polarity on the Fender pedal, but it didn't change anything.

Any help? Do I need to get inside the organ and reverse the volume pedal channel's polarity, somehow?

Hammond used both capacitive and LDR based expression pedals. What model Hammond?
