  • M3 vibrato heard faintly when switched off?

Just got my first tonewheel Hammond, an M3, and it works well, but I’ve noticed that theres a bit of vibrato in the signal, even when switched off. It is faint and its volume pulses slightly, it took a while to notice, but now I can't NOT hear it.

Is this a common thing? Any pointers to threads addressing this, or tips to isolate the leak?

Probably metallic whiskers ("dendrites") within the vibrato switch assembly. Take apart and clean and see if it helps!
