As far as stories go, removing a Hammond can be a task. I helped a retired gentleman sell and remove an H182. A few of you know me on here personally and heard me mention this before. I hadn't ever lifted one of these and brought my dollies just in case. The buyer assured us he had straps, dollies and other things. Just in case I brought my Roll-R-Kari's. The guy was late driving to this guy's house so we decided to move this ourselves to his driveway. Turns out he didn't have the proper gear. He had one set of straps and luckily it worked. This console was heavy, man o man. We loaded it an end at a time as the buyer didn't have ramps? It could have been a lot worse had we had stairs. I knew it would be heavy but damn! Worse also is it took four months to sell this and when I did 3 people wanted to buy it at the last minute. I had it listed on E-bay and two people bid and didn't come through on it. I felt bad for the seller but it went to a church. Sorry about the pictures and they way they uploaded.

Good story. It looks like I need to get a set of Kari's.
When I gave my C3 with 145 (122 amp) to my son (I had just acquired the B3), some movers came. 4 of them. 2 of them big. They bundled the C3 in blankets and layers of plastic, and embedded straps around the beast. We have an open basement. Rather than taking the stairs, they went out the back patio doors, then up an incline. But it took 4 of them, stopping every 15-20 feet. And they charged $350.
The H weighs 25 pounds more than a B3, and that difference alone would rupture a disk or pop a hernia. Good you brought the dollies!
Dave1955 B3, Leslie 21H and 147. Hammond A100 with weird Leslie 205. 1976 Rhodes. Wurlitzer 200A. Yamaha DX7/TX7. Korg M1. Yamaha C3 grand, 67 Tele blond neck, Les Paul Standard, PRS 24, Gibson classical electric, Breedlove acoustic electric, Strat, P Bass, Rogers drum kit, Roland TD 12 digital drums, Apollo quad, older blackfaced Fender Twin, other amps, mics and bits and pieces cluttering up the "studio."

Roll-R-Kari's are the only way to go. As you know, they are quite heavy in their own right and are made to last forever. I've used them to move other things as well. I can't imagine moving a large, heavy organ without them or even a small spinet for that matter. Why try to pick something up when you can just roll it....
