  • Hammond C2/C3 price?

I’ve been taking in old and pretty much dead M3’s and L100’s and putting them back on the market for a good price and also to make a little bit of fun project money. But today I picked up a Hammond C2 (with C3 conversion kit on it so it has everything a C3 has) and I was wondering what the price on it is without a Leslie. It’s in pretty good shape, and I’m looking to get a Leslie for it and keep it awhile but I was wondering what the price on these go for with a C3 conversion kit on it. Thanks! -Drew

All depends on where it's located ( southern states command a higher price), condition of cabinet, has it been played a lot, key combs worn, up/down felts worn, does everything work, any scratchy keys, bus bars worn, does it have foam, etc. I bought a C3 in Chicago a few years ago for $1500, 1958, played very little and needed the scanner re built. i wouldn't pay any more than that for a good one. However, others would pay up to $2500 if in the right location and the buyer has to have it.

Thanks for the response. I live up in Seattle, WA area so there’s lots of populated cities and towns around me but the C2 is in good condition (internally) and the cabinet has sown wear and scratches but I can fix that with some touch up tools. (Thought about maybe painting the whole thing black?) anyways, everything wortks, the worst part of it is just the wood and stuff but that can be fixed. I’m just hoping to get enough out of it to make fixing it up and putting some hours into it worth my time

Well you know what you paid(or didn`t) for it,so that`s what it was worth to you and the seller.C2/3`s have been both given away and ebayed at delusional 5 figure asking prices. The furniture aspect of the cabinet seems to mean the most these days.
