  • L-100 Vibrato Amp - "crackle"

My 1962 L-100 is working well but I have an occasional "crackle" coming from what I have isolated to the vibrato amp module.
    The 4 tubes are 2-12AU7, 1-12AX7, 1-6C4
I have used contact cleaner on all the tube sockets. Could the crackle be from a faulty tube? Or?
    Thanks.

I do not believe in a defective tube.
To be sure you can swap 12A?7 tubes and observe if the problem change.
You must clean the contacts by scraping.
Tighten the clamps of the tube sockets.
    Same with all connectors.

Gently move the tubes and connectors when powered to try to locate a sensitive area.

Because the first stage (V1 12AX7) is located on the vibrato amplifier. Check also this unit.

Thanks! I'll give those suggestions a try.
