Hi everyone.
On eBay I have seen waterfall keys from vintage Baldwin organs, and the the Baldwin waterfall keys look practically identical to the Hammond waterfall keys, with the main visible difference being that the Baldwin metal key channels have a round rubber contact actuator on the underside whilst the Hammond metal key channels have the rectangular black felt riveted under the actuator and this actuator is located a little further back on the key channel whilst the rubber contact actuator on the Baldwin key channels is located closer to the front side.
The Baldwin plastic waterfall keys look like they have been copied from the Hammond plastic waterfall keys design.
Does anyone know if the vintage Baldwin organ waterfall keys are directly compatible with the Hammond keys, or whether the Baldwin plastic key tops themselves will directly fit on to the Hammond metal key channels, or if the two mounting screw positions on the Baldwin plastic keys directly correspond with the two mounting screw positions on the Hammond plastic keys ?
If the the key length and the metal channels are directly compatible, then it might be reasonably easy to modify the Baldwin keys to work with the Hammond manuals by riveting a rectangular piece of felt under the Balwin key channel at the corresponding Hammond key contact actuator position, or if the screw mounting positions for the Baldwin plastic key tops are identical with the Hammond plastic key tops, then the plastic key tops might be directly interchangeable.
Here is a current eBay listing for the vintage Baldwin waterfall keys:

All the best.
