Question about the Sk2 system update

  • Question about the Sk2 system update

    I just bought a new Sk2. The manual shows how to install the system update. But the latest update is Release 8.4 Jul 02,2014 MAIN V1-621.

    After four years, shouldn't the keyboard now include that update? I'm afraid to install in case it might screw up waht's already on boardf.

    I'd be amazed if your SK2 didn't have the latest firmware on board, and 8.4 seems to be the latest.

    Is there anything in your owner's handbook about checking the firmware version, or does it display the version on startup?

      Thanks. I sort of figured it should be current at this point.

        next to the screen choose menu, then arrow to "E" and use the knob or arrows(I forget which) to find the software version. There is a major thread on SK's on keyboard world. It is here:
