best/safest way to remove lacquer overspray on the keys/metal rails
I had a furniture repair guy do some wood repair on my cherry 1961, B3. i discovered some overspray of lacquer or something similar on some of the keys and the black metal rails. Whats the best way for me to remove that overspray without doing any damage?
Go to your local auto store and get some fine rubbing compound, the kind that is safe for clear coat.
Be careful NOT to get any compound that is too aggressive.
I use Macquires Ultimate Compound on every console I work on. It will work on the keys as well.
Follow with a good carnuba wax.
