  • Roll or Kari Dollies

I've been looking for these dollies for sometime now and visited a piano store (at one time they were only a Hammond dealers and had no pianos) and asked if they had any of these dollies they no longer use. Yep, they said follow me into the back warehouse. Behind a bunch of useless stuff were these dirty old Roll & Kari dollies. Long story short, I got them for free and brought em home, cleaned them up and the straps are good, etc. Only issue is they are 23" at the base instead of 28" which means my B3 won't fit on it but I had the idea of glueing some strong wood like hickory to the base that would make it 28" long, thus a proper fit for moving my B3.
However, i wonder if there is some other part of the dollies that wont allow the B3 to fit on them . Has anyone tried this?
FYI, they had a 1958 blonde C3 in the warehouse that was in excellent condition but was covered sitting behind a lot of stuff. Nobody customer has an interest so it never made it to the show room floor . probably could get it for less than $800
