  • T102 Upper Manual

    Hi

I have an odd problem which hopefully someone can shed light on.
On my T102, pressing or releasing any key on the upper manual results in a very loud pop from the speakers. This is loud enough to risk damaging the speakers.
The pop will occur on a keypress if any sounding tab is down, or any drawbar is active. It varies in volume depending on the drawbar and vol pedal.
If I hold a key down, remaining keys on the upper manual will play normally, but releasing all keys results in another loud pop.

The lower manual doesn't have the same problem. Everything else works on the organ.

Any suggestions what could be the cause please?

    Regards

    Bob

    Hi Bob,

    just a guess...
Sounds like an issue with percussion as it is gone when one key is kept depressed.

    No further clue, sorry.

Does the percussion only 'work' on the upper manual?

The T-100 percussion isn't "single triggered", but gives off a "ping" on every keypress.

I would look elsewhere for the problem. But I don't have any good ideas as to where, unfortunately... the T-series are a mess when they act up!
