oil threads/wigs

Hi,
I have a real simple question (hopefully), but I could not find the answer up to now.
Maybe it is too easy...

How are those oil threads tied to the bearings?
Is this just a simple knot (or two)?

Seriously, I would be happy if someone could confirm or has a howto.
I need to replace one and don't want to do it wrongly.

Typically I only ever have to replace the motor bearing. I always use a double knot. It only matters that it says in place.

I guess it is easier if the thread is dry when knotting it, right?
