  • A Vibrato or Leslie that won't quit.

We have a B at our church. Can't find a Model# on the outside anywhere.
    The Leslie is a 21H.
There is a heavy Vibrato activated ALL THE TIME. Could be Leslie or Vibrato. I'm not the familiar with B's.

After market Percussion has been installed to the left of the Presets with an after market rotary Reverb controller knob installed under lower keyboard bed on the left.
    Both of these work fine.

A Leslie switch with OFF to the left and ON to the right is on the left face of the Lower keyboard. It activates nothing I can hear.

When I turn ON the Swell Vibrato I can hear the settings change on the V1/C1 rotary. Same when using the Great Vibrato Switch. These switches are the left side of the Draw Bars.
When I turn the Great and Swell Vibrato switches to Off I hear no change in sound when turning the Vibrato/Chorus rotary black selector switch. So i believe the Vibrato and C1/V1 rotary are working correctly.

How can i stop this irritating vibrato (if it is vibrato) coming from the Leslie?

    Thanks

It's likely the Leslie is stuck on tremolo/fast speed. Since the Leslie switch doesn't make any difference, the switching system is not working. You can eliminate the tremolo by unplugging the motors inside the Leslie from the amp. Then, troubleshooting the switching system would be in order. Switch, Tube, Relay, Leslie amp voltages are all suspects.

      Thank you Geo!
If I unplug the motors from the amp, is it safe to play the organ and Leslie untill a repairman can get here?
