  • Quick question: A100 with Leslie 145

    Hi folks,

Double checking with the experts here just for peace of mind. I have an A100 connected to a Leslie 145 using the G+ and ground terminals. I never use the internal speakers or reverb so why bother powering them up? My understanding is that I can safely disconnect the AO-35 and AO-39 amps because the AO-28 is not expecting any kind of load on the G terminals. The Leslie 147 amp is set to 'open'.

    thanks!

The power to the AO35 comes from the TWG line panel. The AO39 has the AC receptacle and provides unswitch power to the TWG line panel. The yellow wire from the TWG line panel to the AO39 is switched AC power. The easiest thing to do is pull the rectifier tubes on the AO35 and 39. How do you power the Leslie?

Thanks Jim. I already pulled the rectifier on the 35. I’ll just do the same on the 39. I’ll need to double check where the Leslie hookup is pulling power from. I think I tapped the same AC line going into the 35.

Did the same on mine when I built my Frankenleslie. Actually, to help any line noise issues, I'm using the GG outputs and have put one of the matching transformers I got from an 8020 adapter on the input to the 147 amp to give me a single ended input.
