  • Hammond r124 keys

I broke a couple of keys on my r124 and I have a parts concord will the keys from the concord fit the r124?

No, not natively. The R-100 is the same as an L-100, E-100, later H-100 and others. The Concord uses key clusters or, groups of keys on a common frame. C to E group and F to B group. Now, there was a retrofit that allowed the use of those Concord type keys which required a special spacer and screw pair. Removing the Concord keys from the key frame usually leaves you with shorter threaded barrels. Plus, those barrels are not threaded initially, and must be threaded before the retrofit. Hammond used to sell the newer type key, threading tool, and retro parts. I’ve installed many in this fashion.

You’re best bet is to find the correct keys which should be easy since they were used on so many models.

So just the key tops won't work I just need the key tops not the whole cluster.

            No.

But you can use key tops from any tonewheel model with overhanging keys.

            L100-M100-E100-H100-T100-X77-PortaB to name a few.
