    I have a couple of cables that aren`t checking yet,but they`re old.Looking for suggestions on a product that might extend the life of these. Thanks.

    Sometimes these jackets split. HAs anyone ever tried to crazy glue them together? or add extra plastic and melt the jacket some new skin?

      Sometimes a cracking jacket houses wires that are perfectly fine. Sometimes a cracking jacket houses wires that have cracking insulation. This must be investigated for safety's sake.

        And sometimes an intact jacket houses wires with disintegrating insulation on the individual conductors, especially true of the older black-jacketed cables.
