  • Broken pedalboard and cap replacement

Picked up a Hammond r183 on Kijiji, pedalboard didn't really work that great and then it died.

No wires broken on the inside so we figure it must be the capacitors on the preamp for the 16/8 drawbars (they go into the same circuit board, then seperate into two others, one for the 8, one for the 16).

There's three caps on the preamp. One 500MFD 35v and two 1MFD 25v.

I guess my big question is are those microfarads or millifarads? I'm trying to make sure I get the right capacitor.

My other question is: In the opinion of the people on this board have I accurately diagnosed the problem or is there something I've missed?

Pedalboard doesn't work and all it does is make noise when you pull out the drawbars.

Nobody uses (or at least back then). MFD was the accepted abbreviation for microfarad.
