  • 240v Leslie 122 power transformer mains and motor wire colours

Can anyone tell me which colour wires are for the 240v mains feed and which are for the 115v motors?
The wires in question are orange, white, blue and brown.

      Thanks.
I was chatting to an electrical engineer today and I may have misunderstood what he said - and I am still a bit confused - as I don't know if the transformer steps down from UK mains to USA mains voltage.

Are these values (White- 234v Brown- 250v Orange- 117v Blue- 0v ) just input mains values you can use to 'tap' in to the primary coil so you can run that coil at those three mains voltages? Or can I put the blue wire on the neutral and brown wire on the live fuse of the 240v mains feed....
...And connect the 115 motors to blue and orange coming out of the transformer?

My problem is the amp has been hotrodded and most of the motor circuit has been stripped out. The previous owner had a 150w transistor amp fitted and disconnected the transformer to just run the motors. His replacement transistor amp had its own transformer

Oh - one more thought - as the amp is running quiet, would it run louder and not strain the amp if I put the '240'v main feed in to the white and blue?

I have not tested the Mallory can cap values yet - as I suspect that may be the cause of the quiet output.

        Hi Jim,
I found this in my archives, maybe it can help. At least in my 234V 147 has the same construction and wire colors...

Thank you so much. I am really grateful for your help.
My 122 amp has issues, but at least I now have the confirmation that it has the correct transformer and I have the UK schematics.

            Hello,

Here is the pic of a 122 European series.
Quality is very bad, but you can find the colors in the twisted mains wires at the top of the picture.
