As the title states, we have a Hammond M162 in need of a loving home. The organ was purchased new back in the 1960's by my grandfather who was quite a talented piano and organ player. When he passed away the organ came to live with my parents where it has stayed ever since. Now my father has passed away and my mother is in a care home, their house is up for sale and the organ needs a new home.
Aesthetically it is in extremely good condition, not perfect but very nice. It also has an organ stool with hinged lid to keep sheet music. The organ worked fully the last time it was tuned on, takes a while to warm up but is good from then onwards.
I do not know too much about organs and I am looking for advice on how to get this organ to someone who will play it and enjoy it.
Regards,
Dave.
