  • Hammond A105

    Hi Folks,

This is my first post and I need a little advice about the A105 please. I have a wonderful late A100 (UK 1968) to which I've fitted the TrekII string bass unit. We UK guys of a a certain age tend to play pedal bass, and it sounds simply wonderful. I have the opportunity to buy what seems to be a near mint A105, but I simply can't find the dimensions (of the console without the pedalboard) anywhere. My question is this: Is it simply an A100 with a locking lid and, therefore, the same external size as the A100 excluding pedals - in which case I can get it into my music room - or is it, as one friend has suggested, more like a C3 with added power amp and speakers, in which case I can't. 29" is too deep. Any information about the dimensions would be very helpful. The only brochure info I can find about dimensions includes the depth including pedals which doesn't help me.

My C2 and A105 both measure 28 1/2 inched from the back to the manual front. The A102 measured 26 inches.

The A105 is a C3 with internal speakers. Same cabinet dimensions.

        "in which case I can't."
Can't? That's not a word used in organ circles. Knock a wall out!

I removed a window to get my C3 and BC in.

Stand the organ on end. Then start by threading the "legs" thru the doorway. Then, as you enter, turn the instrument 90 degrees so you can slide the top part in as well.
              Current organs: AV, M-3, A-100
              Current Leslies: 22H, 122, 770
