  • H112 pedal quits (volume goes down) while playing

    Hi Guys,

Yesterday my wife was playing on the H112 and suddenly out of the blue the pedal volume was almost gone, just a tiny tiny bit of volume was left.
The manuals where still producing full volume but hardly no sound from the pedal what so ever.
Moving the swell pedal had no effect on the pedals, moving the drawbars also had no effect, the manuals are kept there full volume during playing.
My wife kept playing and after a minute ore so the pedal came back at full volume.

Any suggestions where I have to look?

    Thanks in advance!

The pedal preamp has 3 tubes. It is located on the back of the control panel - a metal housing with 6 tubes. Three are pedal / three are percussion. Each set has 2 12AX7's and 1 12AU7. The stamping on the adjustment pots will tell you which are which. Try swapping them with the corresponding perc tube.

Could also try cleaning tube sockets.

As always - caution - high voltages lurk.

Not familiar with the innards of the H112, but the pedals on my M3 just "faded out" when I first started working on it. It was a grungy ground lug attachment on the TG. Wiggled and re-tightened the screw, all better.

Hmmmm there is no pedal preamp as is showing in the manual, just a metal box with a transformer and 2 potentiometers, one is marked 'pedal volume' and 1 marked 'pedal cut-off'. I gave them both, after marking the position, a couple of turns back and forward. After an hour of jamming and playing the pedals keep on working, for now:-)
