Does anyone know of any circuit modifications within the Hammond Auto-Vari 64 that would enhance or increase the rhythm patterns? Years ago I heard there were some circuit mods that would add some additional patterns, I never did find them.

Not something I've heard of in all the years since the AV64 came out. I'd imagine that all the patterns were burned onto ROM chips. Short of somehow burning patterns onto new chips, I can't see any way of adding additional patterns. You might be able to change or re-shape some of the sounds by altering components, I wonder if that's what you're remembering from years gone by?It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

I've combined rhythms patterns before but never tried four at once - I'll see what happens when I try it. Meanwhile, I'll share my latest mod to the thing, I've installed a ten position rotary switch and used nine 500k linear trimpots, by setting each pot at different tempos I can change songs with the selection of buttons and switches and I'm good to go.
