  • Line out on M-2

    Hi,

I've been trying to follow the guide here on getting line level from the rca jack on the expression pedal: http://www.dairiki.org/HammondWiki/G...omThePhonoJack

There's a photo in that guide that looks like this: http://www.dairiki.org/hammond/pics/.../M3trimcap.jpg

I'm a little confused because my yellow lead goes to a trim pot, and the guide has it going to an isolated terminal - I have a terminal in the same location, but it seems to be grounded on the chassis.

Anyway it looks like I more or less have the same parts, they're just laid out differently - which makes me hopeful that someone smarter than me knows how to connect things up to get a line out signal.

Any help on this is much appreciated!

U mean a line in, that's what u see there, the little jack can be used to plugin a autovari ore grammophone ore something like that. But you need to resolder the connections/broken wire.

He's trying to do a mod which actually converts that jack into a line out instead, just by switching a couple wires around.

I need to convert that line in to a line out.

Why not use a "normal" line out circuit, padded down from the speaker terminals?

Hi, the Behringer Ultra-DI600P direct box will handle the job of padding down the speaker output from your M2 and getting a line level signal. If it's still too hot just put the Normal/Soft tab on.

I've done this three times myself and it's really quite a good little mod, one of the first I learned. Just find a little wire to run from the lug on the left side of the pot to the hot lug on the RCA jack, simple as that! If you experience a problem with this just post back and I will try to assist you. Albeit I haven't done this mod on an M2, just 2 M3's and an M100, so I can't say this is correct 100% surely, but I'm pretty close to certain that's all you need to do. Good luck!
