  • Hammond 232272 Aurora Classic power issue

I spent a week cleaning and reseating connectors and cleaning the manual busses. Sound cleared up beautifully except B flat would not sound o either manual regardless the drawbar or preset settings.. So figuring I left something not properly connected I did it all over again (reseating and checking connectors and making sure the B flat contact points were clean. Put it back together. Power light comes on but no power amp thump and not lights anywhere. I checked all the fuses on the power amp section and went over connecters in the power circuits.

I have the service manual and all the schematics. I checked power at the off/on switch. ZThe yellow power to blue lamp wire read 115v. No other combinations yielded a reading.

    Any suggestions?

I have another earlier vintage Aurora coming tomorrow. A model 232149 S/ C 67117. Fully operating and free. Bonus

The new Aurora is in great sound shape but needs some work on cosmetics. Having scanned through a lot of posts, it is clear there is lots of parts availability for the "big name Hammonds" . Where does one go for parts for series like the Aurora? I need a fader cap for the Philharmonic STrings and and lights and lenses for the indicator lights for the rhythm variations beat Indicators. Is it standard form to buy a sacrificial piece in the model line and use it for a parts source?
