  • M3 with Leslie 770: Little hummm when Leslie on Chorale

My M3 connected to my "new" 770 sounds great.

I have an issue when the Leslie is on chorale. I could ear a little humm .

    - When running on Tremolo, it sound perfect.

    - When slowing down from Tremolo to Off, I could hear the humm until the flute is stoped... after that, it sounds perfect.

Before my 770, I had a 710 which I have noticed the same kind of issue.

Where should I start to isolate the problem ?

Is it coming from the organ ?

Is it produced by the Leslie when the Chorale is trigered to slow down the flute or on Chorale itself ?

    Don't know where to start.

    Thanks,

    Jean

Is the Leslie located very close to the drawbars side of the organ? The magnetic field from the slow motors could be coupling into the organs matching transformer. Try moving the Leslie further away from the organ.

      Hi Joe.

You were right. The leslie stands right beside the organ on the left side.

I've tested it this morning by putting it away and no more hummm.....

      Thanks a lot,

      Jean
