• Sheet Music for Spinet (Hammond M 103)

    Hi Guys,

Can somebody advise where I can find sheet music for Spinet organ which only has 13 pedals and 2 manuals with 44 keys each.

All the music that I found so far has music for 2 ~ 21/2 octave pedals which is not possible to be played on my Spinet.

Also, is there some place where I can get free sheet music? There are tons of Piano sheet music freely available and could not find any for Spinet Organ.

    Thanks in advance.... J

Awkward situation. There's almost no music published for home organ any more. The result of the publishing giants thinking that because there aren't that many new organs being sold, no-one plays them any more! They've been told, but won't listen. [8o|]

You can still find plenty of music on eBay, as there's a good trade in used home organ music, and you can often get some great bargains. Thrift and charity shops also are a good place to look.

As for free music, you'll probably be out of luck. Over on the Lowrey Yahoo Group, one of the members has persuaded one publisher to let him post pdf files of their old home organ music.

Now this is all popular music, or light classical that has been arranged for home organ, and it's written with 13 pedals inmind. Classical repertoire for full pedals requires full pedals and you'd have to rearrange that yourself.

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
