M 100 with volume issue

    M 100 with volume issue

    My M101 has good volume on the upper manual, but the lower manual has about half volume.
    Where should I start looking?

    Is it the same regardless of vibrato on or off?

      Yeah, the lower manual seems to lose more volume with vibrato engaged.
      I guess that's typical isn't it?

        No. Engaging vibrato/chorus shouldn't make any difference in volume at all. If anything, adding chorus should give it a bit more "bite" in the treble.

        I'd look for metal whiskers in the matching transformer assembly (the round "can" that hangs from under the upper manual chassis, close to the drawbars. In the back of the organ.
