  • M3 Thumping sound

Hi, New here and to the Hammond world. I have a 1958 Hammond m3 , NO leslie. I received this organ a ayear ago and have just had time and space to get it going. It worked before it was moved to my home and nothing was locked down as far as I am aware. I think guy knew less than me ...... Organ powers up , but a thumping sound comes out of the speaker and increases with depressing the volume pedal . I have cleaned each tube , one at a time , oiled ( Hammond Oil ) the three funnels on the cover. Still have thumping vibrato sound. Any advice on where to start to try and fix ? I have no manuals and little knowledge on part id etc..... I appreciate anyones assistance . Thank you Mike

Thumping sound on Vibrato only? Usually indicates dendrites in the vib switches or scanner short.

Hi, you may search for "motorboating vibrato scanner" to see if that's your issue.
