  • Leslie switch MEE vs Chorale/Tremolo

Hi,can an MEE half moon switch be used on a C3/122 to function the same as a Chorale/Trem switch?

You're asking if a three position MEE switch can operate the same as a two position C/T switch?
    Hammond A100, M102, X5, XB3, XB5, TTR-100,
    Lowrey DSO-1, H25-3, Yamaha E70, RA-100,
Farfisa Compact Duo MK2, Vox Continental 300,
    Korg BX3 MK1, Leslie 145, 122.

The Leslie half-moon is an ergonomic consideration. With it comes fans and detractors.

Many different switches have been used for Leslie switching and they all basically work. If the contacts take the amps, it's a good switch. Micro-switch; footswitch; wall switch; pushbutton switch; it's all been done.

The 145/147 series Leslie simply requires a SPST switch to energize the relay. No great complexity. 122, I'm a bit hazy on, but I think it's the same, differing in audio input, only.

So sure, it oughta work just fine. You'll have to wire it up the way you want it.

On a 122 setup; chorale - switch open & tremolo - switch closed. Find 2 contacts that work.

Definitely. With so many things to trigger, pull and press, a halfmoon is an oasis with its smooth shape cradling the rail.

So many other boxes have been used but come off as "cacti" ready to jab your hand if you speed switch.
