The tonewheel starter has a problem . But once spinning it it fine. Everything else works as it's supposed to

The first A100`s were made in `59,no A143`s until `64.

Looks like a 1950 according to the Tonewheel Generator Hospital. That is a nice price! I saw an A100 advertised in a church for $1000. The reverb didn't work, the percussion was faulty, a pedal end spring was broken, and the speakers were distorted. I asked if they had a Hammond tech in town, and they didn't, so I said the the price for a service might be up there. I didn't make a counter offer, but asked them to consider what would be fair to them. A few days later they called and said that nobody played it, that they needed to get rid of it, and asked if $500 was okay. I have repaired some of these things, but not the reverb, and the signal is too hot still, but both parties were happy! You should be able to get all the parts you need, and there is very good help her in this forum. Congratulations!

A143 is an A-100 in a certain cabinet style, right? Sounds like a steal, even with an "undesirable" Leslie, which is better than no Leslie! Use the dough you save on that package to get a "real" one.
