I was just given a 8022, with no power cord. The power input looks like it takes a cord like the old boombox style power cord. I'm trying to figure out if I can use one of these cords, and if it has to be one way specifically. I'd hate to get the polarity backward. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

If it physically fits, use it! As for the polarity, think about it. Did you ever worry about what way around you plugged one of those figure of eight 'boom box' cables into anything? No, so it won't matter.
A word of warning, some people deliberately cut off/remove/throw away power cords from organs that are dead, so don't be surprised if nothing works. And you'll have already read up on the work that you're likely to have to do on the Aurora? If not, then there are dozens of threads on the usual sorts of problems that first generation LSI Hammonds are prone to .It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Thanks for the input. That's what I assumed, but I hate to assume. After all, the original Playstation had a cord that only went one way. As for whether it works, I trust this guy. He knows his stuff, and he's a great guy. He has a wall of analog synth, restores old coin op video games, and even has a flux capacitor in his DeLorean. I'm sure it has some issues, as my (unfortunately destroyed in a fire) T-443 did when I originally joined this group, though I expect this one to have more issues. He did suggest I basically take it apart and clean all the contacts before powering it up, as it sat in a garage for a long time.
