  • Profkon ZD-1 Overdrive/Distortion UNit

These units have been the subject of numerous posts and inquiries over the years and have not been available for some time. It looks to me that George is starting to produce and sell these units directly after a long hiatus. For those interested in acquiring, there is currently a listing on Ebay at: https://www.--------.au/itm/Profkon-...frcectupt=true or, just search for "Profkon ZD-1".

No affiliation with George, and already have a unit of my own. Posted here for information to members.

    Cheers,
    Peter

    Oh! That's really good news.
I'm a huge fan of the boutique industry and Kon and George's efforts...
Once you've done a bit of hobby DIY you realize there ought to be more small businesses out there doing their own thing.
I've got two of them ol' ZD-1's myself.

Footnote: Some years back we had a chap here by the name of "Farndurk" who was showing some innovative stuff too, I fear Farny may have shuffled off this mortal coil though.
    He was fun.

Hi Brendon, Yes I remember reading through many threads related to both Farndurk's experiments and of the earlier prototype schematics that Kon had provided (initially) on other forums. The ZD-1 is a very nicely made unit and is easy to install. A very handy add on methinks .... (particularly because you can get your growl at neighbour/wife friendly volume... :)
