MIDI on Hammond B3000

    MIDI on Hammond B3000

    I have a Hammond B3000 in nearly perfect shape. I have been contemplating having MIDI installed on the lower keyboard. I received a price of $750.00 IF it take the orgar to this person. this seems a little high to me but thought I would get some advise. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    I believe the B-3000 just uses a DC voltage on the key contacts. If so, there are MIDI Encoders that could work directly with those contacts or with minimal adjustment. Check out MIDI Boutique. They sell Encoders in a variety of versions. Encoders are in the $150 range. If you want velocity with MIDI then you would have to have additional contacts installed which would increase the complexity as well as the cost.

      I do not require velocity. Only MIDI. I'lll check out MIDI Boutique as recommended. Thanks
