Somebody dropped off a Hammond Chord Organ. Kinda reminds me of an accordion with all the chord buttons and short keyboard. With tubes I guess that makes it '60's ? Two bass pedals. Is this worth messing with or should I just junk it? Are they hard to fix up?

8/19/19. Well I am very fond of mine http://owenlabs.org/basement.htm#chords. They're all-tube, so in general that's much easier than transistor/ICs. On the other hand, the sound may be an acquired taste....

I fixed up a 1950 model "S", which was "tonally inert" 8) All of the capacitors in the oscillator circuits had drifted and become so leaky the oscillators couldn't oscillate!. I replaced all of them (about 70, I think) and re-tuned the whole thing. It is an interesting creature, for sure, and does make cool sounds. What year is yours and does it work at all?Tom in Tulsa
