  • A constant harmonic

My Hammond B3 now produce a constant harmonic (note C) when ever I pull out the Bass draw bar past 3. Unfortunately, the C harmonic is loud enough to hear even when playing in other keys--gives a very dissonant sound. How can I stop the sound of the harmonic (or dominant overtone) from sounding?

When you say the "bass drawbar", do you mean a pedal drawbar? If so, pull out your pedalboard to see of a pusher spring is bent and the note therefore partially sticking. You may need to adjust the leaf springs slightly.

    Current Leslies: 22H, 122, 770

Thanks Enor. Yes it is the Bass drawbar in the center of the organ. I will pull out the peddalboard and check out the pusher spring (what ever that is). I have never worked on this organ before; so, it will be a new experience. By the way, any youtube videos or Hammond organ repair?
